Looks like Michael Jordan has the opportunity to prove why he’s G.O.A.T again!
Hornet’s owner and NBA legend, Michael Jordan, returned to his hometown of Wilmington, NC to serve families Thanksgiving dinners who were impacted by the recent hurricane season. Before his return, Jordan donated $2 million.
Jordan not only met with the families and took pictures, but he also handed kids Jordan Brand shoes to the Boys and Girls Club he once played at as a kid.
“I can give money all day long, but at some point you want them to understand you’re human. You really want to trust that money goes to the right people,” Jordan said. “And when you see it goes to the right people, it makes me feel good that I did the right thing.”
Reasons like this are why Thanksgiving and Christmas top my favorite times of the year. We see the best in people and effortlessly give without overthinking.
